A BHM Celebration of Art

There are companies that 'Talk' and companies that 'Do' Diversity and Inclusion. Over my career, I have seen A LOT of the former.
This Black History Month, I was really impressed with and want to shout out
Squire Patton Boggs who had the courage for REAL BLACK HISTORY.

I was really proud to host and co-curate their BHM event 'A Celebration of Art' which saw African Union Historian
Robin Walker challenge the foundations of the European art world by uncovering the significant inventions and contribution of African artists and how they significantly influenced European style.

We explored almost 50,000 years of African art, science & culture, and to bring it home, we put a spotlight on
BetterShared's amazing work and contemporary Black and African artist, bringing them into the space for people to connect the dots between the past and the present while investing ($£) into the future of Black art.

I would like to big up the Squire Patton Boggs team that demonstrated true allyship, through sponsorship and investment. I am proud to support their very bold DEI initiatives.
More grease to your elbow-thank you for doing THE WORK.

ML-Q you and Robin Walker are the true MVPs! Thank you so much for all your support leading up to and delivery during the event, and as always for your incredible knowledge and wisdom!
— Carine Elliott - UK Business Immigration Lawyer | Diversity & Inclusion Squire Patton Boggs
It was such an honour to have you all, to learn so much and to be in the presence of such incredible knowledge and energy. Thank you so much for everything.
